Talea has an elective that's all about doing "homemaking" things. This time she had a kitchen experiment. She had to make chocolate asphalt, using different aggregates (oats, chocolate chips, raisins, nuts, etc).
First she assembled her aggregates.
Then she melted the chocolate chips.
Then her siblings helped her mix the chocolate into the aggregate bowls.
Then they poured the asphalt onto wax paper and rolled it with cans of various shapes and sizes to see which rolled it the best.
Then it was time to clean up.
And eat!
Another project Talea enjoyed was making a playdough sheep. She's really enjoying school!
